North Centennial Trail (Snohomish) — Wednesday, Nov. 1, 2017

Puget Sound and Islands > Bellingham Area
Fall color and the Pilchuck from the trail bridge.

We had the trail almost entirely to ourselves yesterday. Our walk started at the Nakashima Barn trailhead and went down to the big bridge over the Pilchuck and back for just over 5 miles roundtrip. This section is nice and rural and away from rt 9.

The Pilchuck was nice and full and the fall color was gorgeous. We saw lots of slugs, wooly caterpillars, and even a salamander hanging out in the trail.
