Miller Peak — Saturday, Nov. 11, 2017

Snoqualmie Region > Salmon La Sac/Teanaway
Snow on the road at the trailhead

We hiked Miller Peak on 11/11/2017. Teanaway Road was clear to the end of the paved road, then mostly clear with thin patchy slush and snow up to the 9703 turn-off. Road 9703 had a couple inches of snow on it most of the way to the trailhead, and will probably be impassible for cars pretty soon.

The trail was in good shape although only the lower section was snow-free; there was considerable snow higher up (a foot or more in the sections on the lee of the ridge where the wind-blown snow accumulated). Lots of deer tracks on the trail for most of its length. Can't comment on the summit view, as we were up in the clouds and being pelted by tiny, horizontally-blowing ice crystals. Fun hike in the cold-and-wintery sort of way.

quite snowy and beautiful on the higher ridges
no summit view for us
lots of snow in the lee drifts
