Went up for an early AM snowshoe with a meetup group. Road up was in good shape, compact snow and ice in places, but plowed and sanded--numerous 2WD vehicles on the road and in the parking lot. Following the WTA directions for parking here was very helpful.
Conditions were cold and clear, mid 20's and snow was soft and very deep. Route description was spot on, and there is an obvious track pounded in all the way to the point. Fairly busy trail, so be prepared to step aside for skiers and the like. As always, check weather/NWAC and be prepared for winter conditions.
