Started at the trailhead at 2pm on Saturday. Was able to grab one of the four spots left at the trailhead’s parking lot. The overflow lot looked partially full as well as we drove past it. Got to the top at 3:20pm then started our descent around 3:45pm. We were able to make it down safely after sunset without using our headlamps, but I recommend bringing them for backup because the dense tree coverage make it difficult to see at night. Got back to the trailhead around 5:00pm. I clocked 4.1 miles with 1,161 feet elevation gain. Moving time of 2hrs 32 min. I recommend bringing hiking poles to help with stability, especially while ascending and descending the wet rock formations scattered throughout the hike.
