Trip Report

Cedar Butte — Sunday, Feb. 4, 2018

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Hike 2 of 2.  Arrived at the trail head around 1 p.m., and saw maybe half a dozen cars in the lot (by comparison, the Rattlesnake parking looked pretty full as I drove by it - bt/dt!).  The Christmas Lake view from the Iron Horse trail is placidly beautiful.  The flat Iron Horse trail is about half a mile before you turn right on way to the butte.  I took the right fork up, and the left fork down.  There's nothing to see up on the butte or at the blowout, but is a good trail to jog/run, which is what I did.  Was down within an hour.  Stay on the trail, do not trespass, keep dogs leashed - our drinking water comes from here.

Literally did all the things you say not to do. There is nothing to see, even when going off trail. Relax man and enjoy the hike. Also the drinking water is a couple miles away from the trail so no worries.
