We had a few hours to get outside today so we thought we'd come do the Boulder Garden Loop. Having just snowed in Seattle the night before we didn't know exactly what to expect. There was so fresh snow on the trail and as we ascended, via the east side, making a counter clockwise loop (not recommended at this time) we didn't encounter any problems. However once we started to descend via the west side of the loop that trail got pretty icy. The trail is also much more narrow here. I'd recommend having spikes or some sort or ice traction. I can imagine it won't get better with the chilly temps for the next few days and most of the trail in the shade.
Besides that, it is an easy, quick hike with a nice overlook right when you start up the Little Si trail. The loop trail is clearly marked with a sign. There are some impressive boulders and right now some cool icicles to see. Nice little hike if you only have little time and want quick and easy.
