We went out for a short training snowshoe around the pond while it was snowing. The trail is in great condition, and is heavily traveled during the weekends--we ran into a lot of people out enjoying the winter weather, even with the somewhat treacherous road conditions going over the pass.
The walk around the pond itself is almost entirely flat, making this one a fun, easy way to spend a winter day.
