Mazama Ridge Snowshoe — Saturday, Mar. 3, 2018

Mount Rainier Area > SW - Longmire/Paradise
The Tatoosh Range

The road going to Paradise was in good condition, just a few patches of snow and ice on the road.  With the recent snow and warm weather, the avalanche danger in the Paradise area is at a considerable level right now.

The trail leading to Mazama Ridge is easy to find and follow.  It's pretty well packed down, but snowshoes or skies are definitely needed.  The snow right now is perfect for snowball fights, so it's rather heavy and dense.  With all the fresh snow the area was absolutely gorgeous with how pristine it looked.
