It was a beautiful day out on Mt. Walker!
In brief: The hike is in great shape and no real gear is required except for a pair of waterproof boots. Microspikes will be helpful near the summit, but aren't absolutely necessary. Definitely recommend visiting both summits!
Conditions: There is intermittent ice/dnow beginning about 0.4 miles from the top. The summit is covered in snow with a few inches at the South summit and the North summit mostly snow-free at the actual lookout. There is still significant snow on the road between the summits.
Parking: the road to the lower TH is closed and will remain closed for several more weeks. There are plenty of places to park on the shoulder of the highway however.
Crowds: This is one of the more popular hikes this time of year due to its ease of access. There were easily 15+ cars parked by the gate, so be aware of that.
