Decided to try humpback mountain. I managed to summit via the NE Ridge, not the common summer NW Ridge. My sedan made it 0.2 miles from the Annette Lake TH. I cut up to the FS road and headed towards the old railroad avalanche tunnel. Once I started up the trail was difficult to ascent and post holing was a bit frustrating at times until I met up with previous snowshoe tracks. The trail was then easier to ascend. Once up to 4600 ft the tracks ended and I then put on my shoe shoes and continued along the Ridge to summit.
Ascent: 4.5 hours
Descent: 1.5 hours

Was thinking about trying this on Sunday. Do you remember if there are any avy concerns, or other issues, on the NE ridge route?
