Lord Hill Regional Park — Friday, Mar. 23, 2018

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

Drove to Old Tester Road and was surprised to find the gate heading up closed. Just past the gate was a new sign stating motorized vehicles prohibited so it seems there's no longer any option to drive up to the south parking lot. At least it's a short hike up the road to where the trails start. Trails mostly clear, easy to bypass the mud. Only saw a few folks today.

The main south parking lot is just before the gate. The road is an access road for the gas sub-station - hence "Pipeline Trail". There has been a problem with off-roaders using it to "tear it up" in the south end, so when they opened the parking, they closed the road.
The trail to the left, with green gate, is a nice option to get up the hill...

They need to update the park map on the county website then because they have a south lot and a lower south lot listed still which is confusing. I will give the river trail a try, thanks!

I just checked, and you're right. Never noticed that til now. They must not visit their own website much, as the first thing that pops up is that "Waynes World" is closed. (It was re-opened last summer.)
