Trip Report

Lord Hill Regional Park — Sunday, Mar. 25, 2018

Puget Sound and Islands > Seattle-Tacoma Area

Happy spring!

Lord Hill is all colors of green today.  A bit more mud now that the ground has warmed up and isn't frozen anymore.  I saw a trio of Hooded Mersangers at Dragonfly Pond and a Mallard with the prettiest green head I've ever seen.  Lots of singing birds and the frog party has started too.  There were ribbets and croaks at all the ponds but Hidden Pond was really something.  The Midway is in great shape.  Nice to see skunk cabbage blooming in the marsh.

Waking up after winter.

Love the trillium! Be sure to check out the south end of the Midway this spring!
