This was the first time I'd hiked Rattlesnake Ledge in nearly 5 years. The morning weather was gray and drizzly, but there were still many other hikers making the trek to the top. Fortunately, there were quite a few stretches of trail where I could experience some solitude, which made me very happy. The trail itself was in great condition, with a couple of new bridges I don't recall from the last time I was here.
Per usual, the viewpoint on the lower ledge was packed with groups of people taking the requisite photos, including a couple who were having what looked like an engagement photo session. In spite of the crowds and the rain (and me without a rain jacket), I enjoyed myself immensely. A perennial favorite.
