Hiked up to Navajo Peak via Stafford Creek trail. Road to the trailhead is bumpy but fine for all cars. Trail is snow-free for 2-3 miles, then some intermittent snow, and then continuous snow from about 4500 ft to the top. Beware of rotting thin snow with small creeks flowing under it in the lower sections. Did not need snowshoes though the snow was very soft later in the afternoon. Trillium, ballhead waterleaf, glacier lillies, and even a little paintbrush in the lower parts.

trailheader on Navaho Peak
how much of the trail would you consider substantially snow-covered?
Thanks
