Sunset hike of Mount Si. Started at 5:15PM and got back to my car at 10PM. Arrived to the summit at 7:45PM. Scrambled around the rocks carefully and the view of Rainier, woah it just captures your attention!
Photographed sunset on the summit at 8:30PM. Hoofed it on the way down back to the car. Views are unparalled for a hike that is 30ish miles from Seattle/Bellevue.
Plenty of parking in the trailhead lot. Well-maintained/signed trailhead, but again, I started late and there was 100+ cars remaining..
Passed lots of people on the first half of the trail up, so this trail is one that I'd recommend to start very early if on a weekend (or weekday for that matter).
I had a few headlamps and lots of granola bars/fruit for snacks. A lot of switchbacks on this hike so brace yourself. And bring lots of water, really warm day, even for the evening. 2L minimum. No places on the upper section to get/filter H2O.
