Wallace Falls State Park - Greg Ball Trail to Wallace Lake — Wednesday, May. 16, 2018

Central Cascades > Stevens Pass - West

Checked out/off another “popular” trail that gets plenty of reports. Left TH @ 6:30am and took Woody to Greg Ball to Jay lake. Right now this trail is NW eye-candy feast!! Never been to the Hoh rainforest?..go here for a snapshot-Moss! Fern! Polypore! This is a spectacular treat with easy tread, abundance of signage & latrines along the way. Wallace falls, although stunning was secondary for me. My show was the chartreuse visuals, crashing/burbling creeks all mixed with bird and frog song. Misty at the lakes with silent bounding Deer disappearing into the blur. Not a soul on the way up with steady traffic on the descent. Easy, fast trails- and easy TH to reach. Go now and early!

Nice. There's more to Wallace Falls State Park than the "falls"...
