Lewis River Falls — Sunday, May. 13, 2018

Southwest Washington > Lewis River Region

This is an excellent hike. The waterfalls are really spectacular, especially in the spring with so much water in the river. I really enjoyed the peaceful hike through second and old growth forest, especially towards the upper stretches of the trail. All three water falls are unique and worth visiting, and there is a bonus fourth falls located above the upper falls. If you want a longer hike, I recommend continuing up the Lewis River Trail to the Quartz Creek Trailhead. From there, you can continue hiking along Quartz Creek through beautiful ancient forests. This is a great springtime hike.
