My brother, his dog and I spent this Memorial Day hiking Barlow Point. We arrived at the trailhead around 11am to a lot/highway full of cars, though it ended up that everyone was at Monte Cristo across the street, as we only passed 9 people during our trip up and back. The trail was easy enough to follow, and a couple downed trees were the only real obstacles on the trail. We saw two garter snakes on the trail, but otherwise no wildlife. It's a quick hike, took us about 40 minutes going up, and 25 on the way back down. All in all, a nice hike, though I'd prefer more distance next time!

So the switchbacks weren’t difficult?
