It was the first hike that we took with 2 small children- A 2 year old and a 4 year old. It was a simple and fun hike. We started at the sky country trailhead, then took the old man's trail to the cave holes till the coal creek waterfall. We went in May so there wasn't a lot of water in the waterfall but it was still a treat for the children.
The trail was easy, even for the children to walk and to explore the flowers and the foliage on the trail.
On the way back we took the nike horse trail. Total hike time: 3 hours.
