Granite Creek Trail to Granite Lakes — Tuesday, Jun. 5, 2018

Awesome, fairly new trail from the Granite Lakes trailhead, mile 5 on the Middle Fork Snoqualmie Road.  Sad but incredible old growth stumps before a great section overlooking Granite Creek.  I was on a fast pace, reaching Granite Lakes in 1:05, almost exactly 4 miles in, roughly 2000' gain.  Then, back to main trail and further up towards Thompson Lake.  Traveled about 2.5 miles to the ridge above Thompson, with views through the trees.  Tough climb, but short and through nice second growth to the ridge, before dropping down to the lake.
