What a beautiful hike with incredible views of snowy mountains on a clear day. The bridge at the washout now has cable hand rails all the way across. We encountered a WTA work party near there, and they were probably responsible for the improvement. Our group crossed paths with maybe 3-4 other hiking groups on the hike, which made for a very special day in the shadows of the North Cascades.

You must not have taken these photos from the hike. Did you stop at the Boulder Creek bridge? Looks like it wasn't smoky at all from the Park Creek fire?

Yes, photos are from the bridge. No smoke in sight, fortunately.
