My wife and I hiked up to Manastash Lake with our 9 year old and our 15 year old and stayed the night. The mosquitoes were aggressive around Lost Lake but less so at Manastash Lake. It is best to stay heavily coated with bug juice. The trail is easy to follow but pretty chewed up and dusty in areas by motorbikes. We ran into a few people on bikes, a family on horseback, and a number of dayhikers. Manastash Lake was peaceful and beautiful. There were a few other people who stayed the night but it felt pretty much like you had the place to yourself.

Was curious if there were any restrictions for access due to wildfires in the area? Photos don't indicate that there would be but just wanted to check.
Thank you.

Nope...no restrictions posted or that we are aware of. We didn't use a campfire because we assumed that they would be restricted but noticed that the other camps did have campfires. So, I checked online when we got back and couldn't find anything that restricted campfires in that area either.
