Road up has some crazy potholes but passable by car. Really pretty hike with lots of flat and some good elevation packed in at places along the way. Snow crossings are much longer than some of the recent trip reports discuss. Recommend bringing microspikes just to go faster. Nothing too much to cross without them. Caught sunset up there - Baker is right in front of you and then 360 degree views of the Cascades. My second favorite fire lookout behind Hidden Lake lookout. Highly recommend.
