I took my dog out to Blue Lake/Dock Butte last Thursday. Crews were working on the FS roads, so getting there was s breeze. We saw one person all day (and he had the same name as my dog!) Both trails are in good condition. Lots and lots of blueberries. It was rainy and cold (46 degrees) at trailhead, so we almost abandoned the hike. Glad we didn’t. Not super views, but enough breaks in the clouds after the rain stopped to give us some lovely peek-a-boos. This says it’s an easy hike, but the trail up to Dock Butte is not for wimps. Take poles. There’s plenty of water for dogs en route.
