It was a gorgeous early Autumn day for a hike at Mt. Baker. The snow to cross is not that bad - A couple of slippery spots you have to be careful, but overall not too bad. The colors are amazing and there are many ripe blueberries for the birds and pikas. I started at 9:30 with the sun at my back. I removed my jacket shortly after starting and was quite warm. There were a few cool areas in the shade and when the wind came, but it was more refreshing than anything.
