Took the kids on this hike on Saturday around 2:00 PM. Parking lot was pretty full, but found a spot. Need a Northwest Forrest Pass or pay $5.00 at the trail head. There were rangers on the trail so I would suggest not leaving the pass to chance.
The first part of the hike was pretty easy with a slight grade up along a quaint, well maintained path. Once you get to the sign that points to either Bridal Veil or Lake Serene the real work starts. Starts out as stairs, but then transforms to a bit more rugged rocks until you get to the falls. Not too bad (we saw 6-10 year olds negotiating the hike pretty easy).
They payoff for this hike is fantastic. The falls are amazing and the view of the pass from the falls makes the hike worth the trip.
When we got back to the trail head, the ranger was there again, looking at car passes. So again, don't forget your trail pass.
