This hike has been on my to do list for a couple of years. It was a gorgeous fall day so we took advantage and chose this hike. We arrived at the parking lot at 10 am and it was full but plenty of parking in the pullouts in the side of the road. Trail was muddy in many places, much worse on the way back due to the day’s foot traffic. Saw a close up view of the glacier on Mt. Shuksan and dipped my feet in Lake Ann. It’s a butt burner on the return since much of the elevation gain is at the end!
