Hiked the Maple Pass loop with my dog to checkout the fall colors. The hike, as many others mentioned, was very busy - however - the vistas on a clear day along with the fall foliage made it more than worth it!
Parking was unavailable at the TH (we got to the TH at about 11 am), so we parked on the side of Highway 20. There were easily > 100 cars parked in the spill out and the TH. Hiked the trail clock wise, to some incredible scenery and photo ops!
I'd say go do this hike, people notwithstanding. The views are too good to pass.
