Peaks in the distance
Three hundred sixty degrees

What a great hike! Hadn’t heard of it until a friend asked if I wanted to join, but I’m sure glad I decided to. It’s definitely a thigh burner and a little intimidating if you don’t do well with heights or exposure, but if you commit to it, the summit reward is amazing.
Unobstructed 360 degree views of the cascades, with Glacier right in your face, plenty of room for a small party to hang out and take in the peace and quiet.
Perfect day for it, too. Fall colors, a little cool in the shade but warm in the sun, t-shirt on the summit. Not a sound to be heard the entire hike. Only saw three people all day.
Even if you decide not to do the final summit push, it’s still an amazing hike. Ridge walks, fall foliage, a river, great views the whole way. It’s a big one though, so be prepared. Parking lot to parking lot it took us just shy of 8 hours. Strava claimed it was 16 miles and ~6300 vertical, but take that for what it is.
There are a few trees fallen across the path, some overgrown brush in the beginning and a bit of scree at the top, but overall the trail is in great condition. Depending on weather this week, there might still be a weekend or so left for this guy before it gets snowed out.
