Scout Patrol Peak — Wednesday, Nov. 28, 2018

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Scout Patrol Peak by METT-TC
NF 5510 Road up to Hansen Creek TH (end of the usable road/elev ~ 3500) is still good for all but RWD. Two other Subaru’s in the parking area when I pulled in. You are following a logging road (main route) all the way until the last 300 ft of vert...but it is all snow covered this time of year and this makes so much more enjoyable. After about 1.2 miles, you will have outpaced the Xmas tree hunters and the trail is yours to break. Most of the snow is less than ankle deep (or you don’t post hole beyond that) until you start the non exposed route finding the last 300ft and then it rarely is more than 8”. Left the poles in the car. Knee high gaiters made any and all snow a non event. Micro spikes equated to zero slips including the mildly steep stuff at the end.
