Round Trip: 7 miles
Elevation Range: 2200′-6242′

Approach

1. Hike 2.5 miles along Scenic Creek to Hamada Lake.
2. Head east and ascend into K9's west basin at 5000'.
3. Head south and ascend a steep gully to reach the 5500' notch.
4. Traverse the west ridge on or south of the crest to reach the summit of K9.
