Parked where the road was closed along with ~12 other cars. Started up at 12pm. Didn’t bring snowshoes, which was a MISTAKE!!! Unless you want to posthole, sometimes up to your hips, for 6.5 hrs like I did then bring snowshoes. Really wish we had started earlier and had snow gear, because we only made it to the first lake before turning around. However, the day was so beautiful and warm that it was worth the pain to get up there. Literally was sitting with no jacket and a warm breeze on giant piles of snow. I’m sure it’s even more stunning in the summer!
