Trip Report

Goldmyer Hot Springs — Sunday, Apr. 21, 2019

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

Was looking for a chance to stretch my legs and break in my new boots. Completed the trip to the Goldmyer Hot Springs as a loop: out via the Middle Fork trail from the Dingford parking lot, then back along the Middle Fork road. The walk is just over 10 miles with limited elevation changes.

The drive to the Dingford parking lot was it's usual bumpy ride. The potholes were full of water, but if you drive with the right level of caution, even a regular car can make it.

The Middle Fork trail was in good shape. There was no snow, but some wet spots. A few Trillium are blooming, and the Salmonberry and Huckleberry are starting to leaf out.

The Middle Fork trail was very quiet. I didn't see anyone all the way to Goldmyer. The trail had 2-3 blowdowns to crawl under or over. Three creeks were high enough to soak your feet if you aren't careful. The most challenging crossing was Burnt Boot Creek. The spot where the Middle Fork trail comes to the Burn Boot Creek, you can see the trail and signs on the other side, but the water was very high and no easy way to cross. I needed to go upstream aways to find a better place to cross.

The walk back along the Middle Fork road was not as interesting, except there were more people to meet and greet.

Cowpie on Goldmyer Hot Springs

You covered what I was looking for.... You did a "loop". Meaning you made it across the creek. I know the old log bridge is gone. You still made it across. Good to know. Being its now July the creek should be more easy to cross and enter the Hot Spring campsites. Thx
