After hearing about the wildflowers in bloom, my fiancée and I made our way to Yakima for a camping and hiking trip this weekend. The hike on Cowiche Mountain was spectacular, with wildflowers the whole way (especially at the top) and views of Adams and Rainier throughout on the east part of the loop. Plenty of other friendly hikers were around, and you couldn’t hear anything but the wind and buzzing of happy bees in the flowers aside from our footsteps. We did get sunburned, so remember to apply and reapply sunscreen! And it was quite hot, so bring plenty of water. Highly recommend while the flowers are out!
