Many of the trails on the east side of the goat rocks are closed after last years fire along the North fork of the Tieton River. The road to Scatter Creek campground is once again barricaded 3.5 miles before the North Fork Tieton trail-head. There will probably be plenty of work needed repairing collapsed and eroded tread once the burned trees have come down.

Thanks for the report! Where is the snow level right now? Were you able to drive up forest road 2150 or which access did you use for your hike? We would like to ski the area, but are unsure about the access options right now.

I was able to transition from hiking to skins at ~4500 on a South facing east-side aspect. Check out reports for snowgrass flats if you're heading up 2150. Have fun!

Great. Thanks! Your report is the only recent one in the whole area. We were really hoping to go in via Conrad Meadows, but I can't find any recent information on how much snow there might still be on the road. The rangers didn't have any info. Any chance you know? We'd hate to drive all the way to find it not accessible. Thanks so much!

I didn't drive up to Conrad meadows but I would bet that 95-100% of the road is melted out. You might find a snowdrift on a shady turn or two but most of the road is up above the river and SE facing so it shouldn't be holding snow. From the TH, I expect you will be carrying skis until you start heading uphill toward Surprise or Warm lake. Turns around Gilbert Peak are great this time of year! ;)

Thanks for review. If I would hike a pct right now over there it would be under snow and not doable for non experienced winter hiker?

You are correct, most of the PCT is still covered in a few feet of snow.
