North Cascades > North Cascades Highway - Hwy 20

There's room for maybe 2-3 cars at the trailhead, otherwise you can park on the shoulder of Hwy 20. The trail is covered in several feet of snow, it is incredibly hard to navigate. There are a ton of footprints, ski tracks, and snowshoe tracks but it is hard to follow any one particular set. I went up for maybe 30-40 minutes until the meadow clearing before deciding to head back because I had no idea how close to the actual trail I was. I post-holed and slid on the packed snow a lot, and got quite a workout. Probably best for snowshoes at this point, and don't count on reaching the actual lake unless you have the right gear! Still got some great views of the mountains though.
