We camped nearby and decided to do an easy hike along this trail for an hour or so at an easy pace. I'd say we made it probably 2-2.5 miles before turning around and heading back.
The trail was beautiful with lots of wildflowers blossoming on the hillsides. Even the areas that burned last year(which there are quite a few) added some contrast to the view.
At probably 1-1.5miles, part of the river diverts onto the trail for a short section of probably 20-30ft. The river was running quite high with snow melt so I wonder if this will even be an issue later in the year when the river is lower. In any case, we were easily able to move around that section of the river by navigating the rocks slightly up slope.
