I led my 5th Sagebrush Ramble for the Cascadians up the Manastash Observatory Rd on this very warm, sunny day. We drove about 1/2 mile up the road and then started walking. When we got to the top of the ridge, instead of going east to the observatory, we went west along the ridge to Pt 3831 and found a nice lunch spot with views of Mt Daniel and the Stuart Range to the north and Mt Rainier and Nelson Ridge to the west. There were lots of wildflowers blooming the entire way, especially on the lithosols. We did not see any wildlife nor any other hikers.
