One of the funnest hikes I've ever done. It was only my friend and I + another couple on the trail for the whole day. There are some snow fields to cross, some muddy parts with running water. The funny part is that the trail started with a creek running onto it, setting some expectations about the hike. It was pretty easy to navigate up until ~3 miles in, but even then we could use others footprints (incl. elk) + gps navigation. The final meadow was full in snow, on a lunch break there the grey jay attacked my croissant while I was talking to my friend - I squealed at the whole park.
It was my first time navigating through a hike without seeing the trail all the time - it was kind of scary, but also really fun. On the way down we were just sliding snow slopes in our hiking boots - fun, fun, fun!
