Snow Peak — Thursday, May. 23, 2019

Eastern Washington > Okanogan Highlands/Kettle River Range

My friends and I reserved Snow Peak cabin and hiked in the summer route from the Snow Peak TH, to our surprise there was a brand new CXT toilet!! Road was in good condition, trail was in good condition except last mile we had to cross intermittent snow with heavy packs, sucked but doable! Cabin was not in great shape since last stay in October. One broken cot-only sleeps three now. Broken splitting mall and wood impossible to chop with a Pulaski. I did contact ranger, hopefully a solution is coming. Day hiked Kettle Crest toward Edds Mountain and trail in great shape with little snow, only made it just past Bald Mt before we heard thunder and forced to turn back to watch the storm from our cabin in the woods !
