Similar conditions to the previous trail report. We encountered two other groups on a beautiful sunny Sunday morning/afternoon. The gentle ascent and sunny views through the trees made for a pleasant hike. We too tried to find our way through the snow and melt on the trail towards Fisher Lake but gave up after about a half hour of scraping through brush and soaking our boots through. We only made it as far as the foot prints of our predecessor! Instead we doubled back, enjoyed lunch in a sunny meadow just before the turn off to the lake, and made plans to return to this trail later in the summer.
