Bandera Mountain — Sunday, Jun. 9, 2019

Snoqualmie Region > North Bend Area

I am Kai. I did Bandera Moutain yesterday. We couln't make it to the true summit because it turned out there was no trail there. Be careful on the rock area because it is slippery. Make sure go on the sunny day because you can see everything, Mason lake and Lake Kulla Kulla lake. You can see a good view of Mt Rainer. Trail was not that difficult to the summit, but be careful if you are going to the true summit.

A small bag of skittles were consumed.

Did you find this trip report helpful?

Nice job, Kai! Bandera gets steep toward the top and is a pretty tough hike!

Thank you for the nice comment. I just walked slow at the steep area. Eating skittles helped me. Have fun hiking!

Thanks for the report, Kai! How was the beargrass on the way up?

I thought it was corn

Thank you for letting me know what the beargrass is called. I thought it was corn, but not edible. It was blooming. From the junction between the lake and Bandera, we started seeing the beargrass.

Thanks, Kai! I went up there really early this morning, because I didn't want to miss the beargrass you said was bloomimg.
