There are numerous blowdown trees in the last mile before the top.  There are many dead-standing trees near the top.  This year quite a few of them have fallen across the trail.  It looks like they haven't been there long.  We hike this trail every year and they were not there last year.  The first mile and a half or so a trail crew has worked on removing obstacles on the trail.  They did not brush out the trail the eight tenths of a mile where it parallels Rock Creek.  The next mile and a half, the few obstacles present were there last year and are not hard to cross.  The down trees in the last mile, slowed us down quite a bit.
