We took our first hike in the Mowich Lake area this season, and the whole family had a great time (2 adults - 40ish, kiddos 11, 11, 9)
With our overnight packs half-loaded we hiked the well maintained (and traveled) trail to Eunice lake. We encountered a few patches of snow while entering the Eunice Lake basin, which was easily passable with hiking shoes.
After lunch, we did not continue to the Tolmie Lookout, but had a great time overall and it was a great short training hike to do as a family.
Bugs were very minimal.
Wildflowers are just starting to bloom.
