Oyster Dome — Saturday, Jul. 6, 2019

Leash your pets for safety!! Witnessed a terrible incident on this hike of a pup who wasn’t on a leash. At the top of oyster dome there are lots of little chipmunks running around and someone didn’t have a leash on their dog and he went chasing after one of the chipmunks and ran off the ledge. Thank god there was a patch of ground below and the dog was able to get himself back up. But he looked in a lot of pain and his owners carried him back down the trail in a hurry. Such a terrible thing for that dog, the owners, and the large crowd of people who witnessed it. Please be aware of surroundings and keep your precious pups safe, always leash them.
