Lake Valhalla — Thursday, Jul. 4, 2019

Did the longer hike from the Steven's pass parking lot.. 12.2 miles. Total eval gain 2985.. Great and smooth trail, lots of packed dirt, pretty level till close to lake. Ground had a few muddy spots but drying out. The mosquitoes were a bit bad, so bring bug spray. Met lots of thru hikers, very nice, and the lake was beautiful, however when It's sunny it's a bright blue so a bit disappointing today but not much. You can see trout off the rocks in the clear water. About 12 people on trail so nice. A rest room at the lake but not in the parking lot. Water was cold but waded in up to my waist then Quick dip in...
