Snow Lake — Monday, Jul. 15, 2019

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Waterfall & stream near the lake

A little bit of rain throughout the hike today. It made the trail wet and fairly slippery in places. I was actually happy it was overcast since it could be pretty hot on a sunny day.

Lake was beautiful with a lot of pretty scenery on the way. When you get to the highest point of the hike and look down on the lake, it seems like you're almost there but you still have about a mile to go. There were toilets near the lake, but you'd be sitting out in the open while using them.

I started from the parking lot at 8:00am and ran into an issue - there wasn't a way to pay for a pass. The station was there, but there were no envelopes or materials to do it. I went to the local Chevron, but they no longer sell passes. I ended up buying an e-Pass online and that was a pretty good option. Just do it at home beforehand so you can print it out. I got back to the parking lot around 12:00pm. By then, they had set up the on-site pay station. There were quite a few cars in the lot at noon, even on Monday.

The trail is well marked and maintained.
