Eldorado Peak — Monday, Jul. 22, 2019

The route is in great shape. Day 1, hiked from the car to high camp above inspiration glacier. The river fording is one minute from the car and we did it in sandals which we cached on the other side. Did the rest of the climb in my light mountaineering boots. The boulder field was super hot, a sun hoody and sunscreen went a long way. Filtered water at the waterfall at the top of the boulder field. Day 2, We woke up at 2am to travel from camp to the summit. The knife ridge is really dramatic looking, but wide enough for feet. We got to the summit rock pile just as the morning light started to hit it. Got married on the summit! It was amazing between the pink sunrise and the 360 views. My favorite day in the mountains:)

After, we looked for a summit register, but couldn’t find one. 

Hiked back to the car after our sunrise summit and made it to cascadian home Farm for raspberry ice cream:)
