The wildflowers are blooming right now on this trail, especially on the Eastern side (PCT section). The bugs are out in full force too hence bug spray is a must have.
I tried this hike last month (early June) and found the PCT section completely snowed in and impossible to navigate. I was pleasantly surprised to see that the trail has completely melted out now and there is no trace of snow anywhere on the trail !
Also, did a side trip on a trail that goes up along the south shore of upper Tipsoo lake. Initially I thought it loops around the upper lake but it kept on climbing up towards Naches peak - that's when I realized it is probably a climber's trail !
