Talapus and Olallie Lakes — Monday, Jan. 21, 2019

Snoqualmie Region > Snoqualmie Pass
Talapus and Olallie Lakes by the girl with nine lives

Shockingly sparse humans today for a holiday Monday! Parked at the Pratt Lake Trail head because the other one is still closed.

It's snow free for about the first 2-2.5 miles. By about mile 2-3.5 spikes become a necessity. For the most part the trail is well packed and in good condition. There are several water crossings but only the last one, before Talapus Lake, was a little tricky. Also finding the trail at that point got a little tricky. The key is to stay to the right after you cross.

There's also a fork just in the last quarter mile or less with a yellow sign posted to a tree. The lake is to the right, aka the NE. The other trail takes you to the old trail which for the most part is closed.

It was about 8.5 miles around trip which I managed to do in about 2.5 hours. It was foggy and snowed on us a little, but it was an awesome hike! Highly recommend!
